Dr Lautenschläger has a strong background in chemistry and physics. Earlier in his career he headed a department within the Research and Development of Nattermann & Cie. Cologne, where he developed new pharmaceutical agents in the field of lipid metabolism disorders, inflammation and circulatory diseases. During the 1980’s, he was head of the Application Engineering Department at Nattermann Phospholipid, a company specialising in the development of pharmaceuticals and skin care products that contain Phosphatidylcholine.
In 1998 he joined KOKO dermaviduals and as the managing partner he has led KOKO to become an internationally renowned cosmetic company. The products contain a dermal membrane structure identical to the skin and a particularly effective delivery system encompassing his earlier studies with Phosphatidylcholine. Dr Lautenschläger has published more than 200 industry publications and patents for his product range.
